Our Roots
Our founder, Dr. David Castañeda Díaz, was first introduced to the world of international trade in 1991. At that time, he represented small businesses from the Rio Grande Valley (Texas) in a series of conferences convened in Washington, D.C., to discuss the implications of a trilateral free trade agreement between Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The NAFTA Era
Following the signing of NAFTA in December 1992 and its implementation on January 1, 1994, our founder gained direct experience working with buyers and sellers across North America, Latin America, and Asia. He led numerous trade missions, participated in international tradeshows, opened new markets for American exporters, and facilitated seminars designed to help businesses maximize their profit potential under free trade.
Evolution and Growth
In 2002, he founded PARAGON Business Consultants, expanding his practice to include non-profit organizations and the application of financial tools to foster entrepreneurship in developing economies.As global trade became increasingly complex and competitive, the demand for specialized, high-quality services grew. To meet these challenges, the company rebranded in 2025 as PARAGON Trading Corporation, a name that reflects our core mission to advance international commerce.
